Aachen Jumping Youngstars

November 28th - December 1st, 2024

The Aachen Jumping Youngstars is a youth competition for show jumpers in the age classes Pony Rider (up to 16 year-olds), Children (up to 14 year-olds), Juniors (up to 18 year-olds) as well as Young Riders (up to 21 years). Approx. 200 athletes and 300 horses are expected. In addition to the German competitors, young athletes from other European countries will also compete in Aachen. The event is located on the famous show grounds of the CHIO Aachen.

The Aachen Jumping Youngstars will be hosted for the 33rd time in 2024. Founded in 1991 by former Nations' Cup rider Willibert Mehlkopf, the event is named after his successful horse Salut: Salut-Festival. In 2024, the Aachen Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV) will be hosting the event for the 18th time in a row. Many famous riders who now have long been established in the professional sport, have competed in Aachen in their youth, e.g. Marcus Ehning, Christian Ahlmann and Toni Hassmann. The athletes compete for a total of 40,000 Euro in prize money in approx. 20 competitions, the total budget (Aachen Dressage Youngstars and Aachen Jumping Youngstars) is approx. 70,000 Euro, 75 staff members work for the event.
