Alix von Borries wins the Prize in memory of Hans-Peter Simons
The festively decorated Albert-Vahle-Arena remains a lucky venue for Alix von Borries: After her triumph at the Aachen Dressage Youngstars 2024, where she was crowned indoor champion presented by UVEX with her Hanoverian mare Feingefühl FRH, the duo is starting this year's event with another victory – this time in the Prize in memory of Hans-Peter Simons.
For Alix von Borries and her ten-year-old mare Feingefühl FRH, a daughter of Fürstenball OLD, the name really says it all. The 19-year-old presented her elegant, dark brown partner in the first Young Rider competition with great sensitivity and harmony. Her ride was characterized by lightness and precision – everything went perfectly. No wonder the young Rhinelander was full of enthusiasm after the prize-giving ceremony in the atmospheric arena: “She was really in good form today,” said the young talent, delighted with the performance of her mare, who had already won the Bundeschampionat at the age of three. “It's always fun to ride in this great atmosphere.”
Behind Alix von Borries, who was awarded a new personal best of 71.176 percent by the jury, came Lilly Marie Collin from the Rhineland with MC Queen (70.686 %/PB), a son of Morricone. Morgan Walraven from the Netherlands completed the podium in third place with her nine-year-old Westphalian Benecia (69.951 %).
