Prize of GRÜN Software Group
Eve Catherine Bartels and Villeneuve Set the Standard
In the Prize of GRÜN Software Group, Eve Catherine Bartels once again set the benchmark in the junior division with her 13-year-old Villeneuve.
Achieving an outstanding score of 72.990% in the second round, the well-coordinated duo soared to the top of the leaderboard with a new personal best.
“I am simply incredibly happy and grateful. My horse was truly with me today, and we were able to lay a solid foundation. Over the past two years, he has also become my best friend,” commented the 16-year-old rider after her performance in the festively decorated arena. The harmonious partnership between rider and horse was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. The Vitalis offspring responded sensitively to his rider’s subtle aids and completed the required movements with playful ease. “He’s simply everyone’s favorite,” Bartels beamed.
Second place went to Laura Qvist, who achieved a score of 72.304%, also a new personal best, with her gelding Hafsjolds Ranger. Third place was claimed by Julie Sofie Schmitz-Heinen with First Date OLD and a score of 71.863%.
Tomorrow, the WOTAX-Prize, presented by UVEX, will determine who will earn the title of Junior Champion 2025. With victories in the first two rounds, Eve Catherine Bartels has created the best possible conditions for the final day.
