Alix von Borris also dominated the second Young Riders competition with her Hanoverian mare Feingefühl FRH, achieving a new personal best of 73.137 percent.

This year, the talented young rider is continuing her success story in the festively decorated Albert Vahle Hall: following her success yesterday, Thursday, the talented rider and her light-footed sporting partner Feingefühl FRH were once again unbeatable today in the Hans-Peter Simons Memorial Prize. Better still, the jury rewarded the pair's harmonious performance with a new personal best of 73.137 percent. “It was just a mega good round today. My ride was so much fun,” beamed the Rhinelander after her success.

Behind Alix von Borries, Yasmin Westerink from the Netherlands took second place. Riding her 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding Amphitryon Old, the team silver medalist at this year's European Championships in Kronberg significantly improved on her performance from the previous day (71.275%). Lilly Marie Collin from the Rhineland was delighted to take third place, setting a new personal best (71.176%/PB) with her Oldenburg-bred Morricone offspring MC Queen.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the young riders will compete for the coveted Indoor Champion's sash, presented by UVEX, in the freestyle. “I really enjoy riding freestyle,” said Alix von Borries after the award ceremony, looking forward to the next day with anticipation. Then she and her mare will dance through the arena to the sounds of British pop star James Blunt. “We haven't done that very often at S level, though. Let's see how it goes.”
